Jinx o'Clock
About the Game
IMPORTANT: I recommend playing the downloadable windows version.
Jinx o'Clock - A Witch Adventure is a short point and click adventure game created by Hexenwerk (solo dev). You play a witch who wants to solve a "murder".
This game has been developed from mid-August to mid-October 2024 for the YAZJam 5. It is also based on my own worldbuilding project and the first game I've created with the help of Adventure Creator for Unity.
While this game follows the given theme ("Is this for real? Am I dreaming?") rather loosely (there is weird scenery), I implemented some of the optional diversifiers:
- You can find a "YAY!" in the game,
- a pentagram for the jinxing,
- as well as a few memes (the flat crocodile from the flat f*** friday, trololo and the grumpy cat)
There are several more ideas I'd like to have added, like more interactions, a German loca, maybe even voiceover. But I didn't manage to do that during the jam. I may continue the development of this game later.
Controls
- Movement: Point and Click with the left mouse button (LMB)

nice art and personality! one of the puzzles was a littttle moon logic-y, but I managed. nice work!
Thank you so much! Which of the puzzles felt moon logic-y to you? I have a guess but I would like to know your opinion. :)
the future one
Ah good, I somehow expected that one. I'll see if I can put an hint somewhere later to help players with this a bit. :) Thank you!
from the description, it implies you need a disk or some type of flat card shape... I only solved it by just trying every inventory item. It's not like that would work in the real world either, so there's no indication of thinking to do that...
Yeah, my idea was like "How do hackers destroy computer systems? With viruses and ..." - and this witch isn't the most usual hacker, so she has her own methods and ideas.
Loved your little game. Thanks.
Thank you for your feedback! :)
